¹⁹⁴² The जै न्या मा वि verse 9 says: 'सर्वथापि सहस्रे द्वे नातिक्रामति संग्रहः, and it is remarked सर्वथापि सहस्रन्यायसंग्रहरूपो ग्रन्थः श्लोकसहस्रद्वयपूर्तेरर्वागेव समाप्यते न तु सहस्रद्वयमतिक्रामति। This works puts down the number of अधिकरणs in पू मी सू at 1000, while some other works say there are only 915 adhikaranas. The मीमांसासारसंग्रह of शङ्करभट्ट (pub by Haridas Gupta at Benares in 1904) gives the summary of 1000 adhikaraṇas in 250 verses, the concluding verse being आचार्यैरधिकरणान्युक्तानि सहस्रसंख्यानि। तत्सिद्धान्तानाह्वै-स्तत्संग्रहंभट्टशङ्करोऽव्यधात्॥.
