From the present author's paper in JBBRAS for 1928, pp. 289-293 and Prof. Kuppuswami's paper on 'Maṇḍana, Sureśvara equation in the History of Vedānta' in ABORI vol. 18 pp. 121-157 it follows that Maṇḍana and Sureśvara are not identical.
