¹⁹⁷⁶ Vide Tai. S. II 5 5 6 about one engaged in Darśapūrnamāsa; तस्यैतद्व्रतं नाद्रुत मदेन्न मांसमश्नीयान्न स्त्रियमुपेयान्नास्य पल्पूलनेन वासः पल्पूलयेयुः; and तै. सं. VI. 2 5 2-3 where पय, यवागू and आमिक्षा are prescribed as the proper food for a ब्राह्मण, क्षत्रिय and वैश्य sacrificer respectively. Jaimini (IV. 3. 8-9) declares that this is *kratvartha* (obligatory).
