**पङ्कप्रक्षालनन्याय** — This is expressed in the half verse 'प्रक्षालनाद्धि पङ्कस्य दूरादस्पर्शनं वरम्' introduced by विश्वरूप on या I. 210 with the words तथा च लौकिका This half verse is वनपर्व 2 49, which reads श्रेयो न स्पर्शनं नृणाम् and the other half is धर्मार्थि यस्य वित्तेहा वर तस्य निरीहता ।' शाङ्करभाष्य on वे सू III 2 22 quotes it
