70-71. It should be noticed that Gauḍapāda comments only on 69 verses and omits these two and a subsequent verse ‘सप्तत्यां किल येऽर्थास्तेऽर्थाः कृत्स्नस्य षष्टितन्त्रस्य। , which means that all the matters contained in the whole Saṣṭitantra (of Pañcaśikha) are contained in the seventy verses (of the Sāṅkhyakārikā), excluding the illustrative stories and the controversies with others. The Sāṅkhyakārikā is known as Sāṅkhyasaptati and in Chinese as ‘Suvarṇasaptati.
