²³⁵⁹ प्राणोऽपान समानश्च उदानो व्यान एव च। नागः कूर्मस्तु कृकलो देवदत्तो धनञ्जयः॥.. उद्गारे नाग आख्यातः कूर्म उन्मीलने तु सः । कृकल क्षुत्कायैव देवदत्तो विजृम्भणे । धनञ्जयो महाघोषः सर्वेण स मृतेपि हि। इति यो दशवाय्ना प्राणायामेन सिध्यति। लिङ्गपु I. 8. 61, 65-66, compare योगयाज्ञवल्क्य (ed. by Mr. Diwanji) IV. 64-71 for the ten vāyus and their functions, वनपर्व 213. 16 (वहन्त्यक्षरसान् नाड्यो दशप्राणप्रचोदिताः) mentions the function of ten prāṇas.
