²²⁵⁴ अन्तराभवदेहस्तु निषिद्धो विन्ध्यवासिना। सद्भावित्वे प्रमाणं हि न किंचिदवगम्यते॥ श्लोकवार्तिक, आत्मवाद verse 62 p. 704 on which the com. Nyāyaratnākara explains: 'यदपि आतिवाहिकं नाम शरीरं पूर्वोत्तरदेहयोरन्तराले ज्ञानसन्तानसन्धारणार्थं कल्प्यते तदपि विन्ध्यवासिना निराकृतमित्यादि'. While criticizing the Sāṅkhya and its 'Satkāryavāda' कमलशील makes fun of the epithet Vindhyavāsin (which may also suggest 'a man who belongs to a wild tribe on the Vindhya mountain) applied to Rudrila 'यदेव दधि तत् क्षीरं यत्क्षीरं तद्दधीति च। वदता रुद्रिलेनैव ख्यापिता विन्ध्यवासिता॥'.
