evidence to support it could receive hearing, it seems inconsistent to translate “त्रयोऽवराख्याः” by “at least three witnesses.” So it would perhaps be more reasonable to take “अवराख्याः” in the sense of “serving the purpose best” (प्राप्ति वरः यस्मात् = अवरः).
