Fifthly, the consideration (वेतन) must not be illegal and improper; the parties, witnesses and agents must be competent (प्रमाणभूतयुक्त). In short, the contract must conform to all the technicalities of law, i.e. it must be सम्यग्व्यवहार [see passages (x) and (y), f.n.].
