This receives corroboration from the *Navaratnamulu* and the *Saptāngapaddhati*, a series of verses addressed to Sāḷuva Narasiṃha. These works are now available only in fragments, and even a superficial study of them leaves on us the impression that the king was the most important figure in the Vijayanagar State.³
