Indeed, antarhita probably = antarita, as this is used in ii, 68.46: dharmāntarita, hidden in virtue, gone into virtue, become the essence of virtue. Cp. Rām., v, 9.23. Instead of “witches” perhaps rather: “magic forces,” embodied curses, etc. (kṛtyā).
