These were provided by bands of (1) Actors (*Naṭas*), (2) Dancers (*Nartakas*), (3) Musicians, (4) Artists giving instrumental music (*Vādaka*), (5) Story-tellers (*Vāgjīvana*), (6) Nautch-girls (*Kuśīlavāḥ nartakīpradhānāḥ*), (7) Experts in exercises with ropes (*Plavaka rajjvārohaka*), (8) Magicians (*Śaubhika*), (9) Minstrels (*Chāraṇa*) and (10) Pimps.
