Another famous Buddhist author, who, according to Tārānātha, was a king in Saurāṣṭra or modern Gujrāt, wrote a compendium called Śikṣāsamuchchaya, a commentary on his Kārikās. But he is content to repeat the ordinary precepts and is, on the whole, disappointing.
