Like Vasiṣṭha, Baudhāyana also declares that a Brāhmaṇa's property is the worst poison, destroying its taker with all his sons and grandsons (I, 5, 11, 15-16). Baudhāyana holds the arts and crafts in contempt. He prescribes penances for following the professions of medicine, singing, dancing, acting, tending cows and buffaloes, etc. (II, 1, 2, 13).
