Yogloka (c 1100), another inhabitant of Bengal, is the author of an independent *Smriti*. His views on *Kāla* and *Vyavahāra* were popular in his days. Jīmūtavāhana used to make fun of Yogloka's claims to being exponent of a new logic (*nava-tārkikam-manya*).
