On *rājanīti* also Raghunandana (pp. 296-297) has something to say. He is a chip of the old Brāhmaṇic diplomacy in the statement that *kritvā samvandhakam chāpi viśvaset śatruṇā na hi*. That is, the king must not trust an enemy even after some relationship (pact) has been established with him. Among the others not to be trusted are the *rājasevī*, i.e., the king's officers. The bad king is always to be feared (*kurājani bhayan nityam*).
