In *Dāsabodha* it is hardly possible to find any political teachings. The politics of the kind such as might be useful to Śivāji is the farthest removed from it. This work is, as we have observed, essentially a treatise on morals. It is well calculated to promote noble and lofty ideals as well as help forward the building up of strenuous habits and righteous personality. But there are other writings attributed to this saint-philosopher-poet in which political messages may be detected.
