From 1919 to 1922 Professor Sarkar used to send regular contributions about the cultural developments in Europe and America to the fortnightly educational journal of Calcutta, the *Collegian*. His section was known as the "World of Culture". Through these contributions Indian intellectuals were introduced to a large number of prominent thinkers in the diverse arts and sciences.
