The officers of the present and future and tax-collectors (amils) of the Empire of Hindustan from end to end, should collect the revenue and other [dues] from the mahals in the proportion and manner fixed in the luminous Law and shining orthodox Faith, and [according to] whatever has been meant and sanctioned in this gracious mandate in pursuance of the correct and trustworthy Traditions,—
