The Diwan of Khalsa had to endorse the security-bonds (tamassuk-i-zāmini) of the workmen and those for the repayment of State loans (mutāliba), and the indemnity-bonds (muchilka) signed by certain officers binding themselves to carry out certain specified tasks on pain of fine.
