In the light of the remarks offered so far, this part of the text may perhaps be translated as follows: “We, (the members of) the assembly of Uttarameru-caturvēdimaṅgalam, Tattaṇūr-mūvēnda-vēḷān being present in accordance with the order (conveyed) in the śrīmukha (royal letter addressed) to our village, made the following settlement* for choosing as committees every year from this year forward the annual committee, the garden committee and the tank committee.”
