⁷ pratikūlam vartamānā bāhyā bāhyatarānpuṇaḥ; hīnā hīnānprasūyante varṇān-pañcadaśaiva ca. Manu., X. 31. In his comm. Kull. tries to show that the total of such castes was thirty. This may have been a later development.
