Bangles of agate and chalcedony have been found in the Mauryan levels at KAUṆḌINYAPURA. Gold bangles are considerably rarer, one of the few being from the early historical levels of BRAHMAGIRI. In contrast to this a good number of gold bangles and bracelets have been recovered from Taxila.
