The Jorwe culture has been studied in Maharashtra in greater detail than any other Chalcolithic culture, the main evidence coming from NEVASA, INAMGAON and DAIMABAD. This culture underwent decadence after 1000 B.C. and survived in a poorer form till 700 B.C. as is evidenced at INAMGAON.
