The megaliths of BANIMILIA-BAHERA differ fundamentally from those of the Kakoria complex in at least one respect. None of the four excavated tombs was found associated with any type of pit, the whole structure standing overground in all cases. Besides the longer axis was always oriented e.-w. Microliths were found on the surface of the ancient humus but did not form grave goods. Two types of megaliths were recognized at and around BANIMILIA-BAHERA: 1, cairn chamber: subtype A, the walls of the chamber being made of upright slabs without capstone, and subtype B, the chamber being made of dressed stones and carrying capstone; and 2, cairn circle (not excavated). Only pottery formed the grave goods, and one tomb only yielded fragments of bones.
