Neolithic art can be gleaned from two engraved stele which form part of the rectangular stone structure of the Late Phase. The first [12.3.5] portrays a hunting scene; a stag or deer being hunted from the front with a bow and arrow and by a spear from the rear. The engraved double sun indicates the duration of the hunt. The scene contains besides the hunters a dog as well. The second example is a tectiform usually found in Palaeolithic rock paintings [13], perhaps representing an encaged animal. These are in all probability representative of sympathetic magic.
