Both fragmentary and extended inhumations in pits and urns [12.4] were practised. Fragmentary burials are more popular in the case of children, often under the floor. The burials are near the habitation or even under the floor. Attendant furnishing is common in the upper phase. Adults are interred in an extended fashion with pots, stone tools and even a head-rest as at T. NARSIPUR, while children are interred in urns.
