From the foregoing descriptions it would be seen that the s. rhomb of the so-called ‘Citadel’ did in fact contain structures of ritualistic denominations and as such it would be more appropriate to regard it as a religious or ‘temple’ complex rather than a ‘Citadel’ smacking of association with a king. Even in the n. rhomb there was no structure which could be regarded as a royal residence. In it there lay a series of houses on either side of a street, and it is not unlikely that in them there lived the priests whose duty it was to supervise the rituals performed in the s. rhomb.
