**Hire Benkal,** Dt Raichur. Chalcolithic [4.14.8] site with an ash-mound [14.3]. Megalithic [4.17.8] habitation remains were also found together with burials such as port-holed chamber tombs, oblong chambers, rock-shelters and polygonal chambers.
