*Pd I*, Lower Palaeolithic. A detailed survey between Sahasradhara and Mandaleshwar yielded over 400 Palaeolithic tools [4.2]. Typologically and stratigraphically these are identical to those grouped by de Terra and Paterson, 1939, in the ‘Lower’ and ‘Upper Narbada’ group.
