A significant feature of some of the equipment, especially terracotta and copper lids with goat and bird motif at the finial, is that some items show contact with the s. as their parallels have been reported from ADICHANALLUR. The Mahurjhari megaliths are typologically and in terms of equipment akin to those from TAKALGHAT-KHAPA in the region of Vidarbha which have given ¹⁴C dates of 7th-6th century B.C.
