**Murna river,** Dt Shahdol. The river Murna, a tributary of the Son, yielded Late Stone Age (Mesolithic [4.5]) tools s. of Kalyanpur, Middle Stone Age (Middle Palaeolithic [4.3]) tools near Lal-Devi and Early Stone Age (Lower Palaeolithic [4.2]) tools about 1 km s. of the bridge on Shahdol-Birsinghpur highway. *IAR 1965-6*.
