Gavidhukā,¹ Gavedhukā,² is the name of a species of grass (Coix barbata). It is also referred to in the adjectival forms gāvidhuka³ and gāvedhuka.⁴ It was boiled with rice⁵ (gāvidhukā-yavāgū) or barley⁶ (gavedhukā-saktavaḥ) in preparing gruel.
