(c) Elsewhere¹ an animal seems to be meant, perhaps the ‘crocodile,’ as Ludwig² and Weber³ think; perhaps a large ‘lizard,’ as Roth and Zimmer⁴ assume. An animal is probably also meant in the Atharvaveda.⁵
