Trasadasyu Paurukutsa appears in several Brāhmaṇas¹⁵ as a famous sacrificer of ancient times, together with Para Āṭnāra, Vītahavya Śrāyasa, and Kakṣīvant Auśija, who in the Jaiminīya Upaniṣad Brāhmaṇa¹⁶ are called ‘ancient great kings’ (*pūrve mahārājāḥ*).
