Trāsadasyava, ‘descendant of Trasadasyu,’ is the patronymic in the Rigveda of Tṛkṣi¹ and of Kuruśravaṇa.² The word is also applied to Agni as ‘protector of, or worshipped by, Trasadasyu’ and his line.³
