Tanaya, n., denotes ‘offspring,’ ‘descendants’ in the Rigveda,¹ where also it is often used adjectivally with Toka.² There seems no ground for the view³ that toka means ‘sons,’ ‘children,’ and tanaya ‘grandchildren.’
