Daivāpa, ‘descendant of Devāpi,’ is the patronymic of Indrota in the Śatapatha Brāhmaṇa¹ and the Jaiminīya Upaniṣad Brāhmaṇa.² No connexion can be traced with the Devāpi of the Rigveda.³
