Hārikaṛṇī-putra, ‘son of a female descendant of Harikarṇa,’ is the name of a teacher, a pupil of Bhāradvājī-putra, in the last Vamśa (list of teachers) in the Mādhyamdina recension of the Bṛhadāraṇyaka Upaniṣad (vi. 4, 30).
