Bhaṅgāśvina is the name of the father of Ṛtuparṇa in the Baudhāyana Śrauta Sūtra.¹ In the Mahābhārata² he is called Bhāṅgāsuri. In the Āpastamba Śrauta Sūtra³ mention is made of Ṛtuparṇa-Kayovadhī as the Bhaṅgyaśvinau.
