Kalyāṇavatī.—The first queen-consort of Kittinissaṅka. After the death of Sāhasamalla she carried on the government of Ceylon for six months (according to some six years, 1202-1208 A.C.) with the help of her general, Ayasmanta. She built a vihāra called the Kalyāṇavatī-vihāra in the village of Paṇṇasālaka.¹
