**Gotamā.**—Mother of **Caṇḍakumāra** and chief queen of the king of Benares.¹ She is identified with **Mahāmāyā**.² She is sometimes also called **Gotamī**.³ 1. Gotamī, Gotamā.—See Mahā Pajāpatī Gotamī, Kisāgotamī, etc.
