2. Ghata Jātaka (No. 454).—The story of the Andhakaveṇhudāsaputta¹ (*q.v.*) and of the manner in which Ghaṭapaṇḍita (*q.v.*) assuaged the grief of his brother, Vāsudeva. The introductory story resembles that of the Maṭṭhakuṇḍali Jātaka.
