**Cullasūka Jātaka** (No. 430).—The story of the past is the same as that of the **Mahāsūka Jātaka** (*q.v.*). It was related in reference to the Buddha’s visit to **Verañjā**, where, for the three months of the rainy season, he had to live on water and a modicum of the ground flour of roots, because of the evil influence of **Māra**.¹
