Tambapiṭṭha.—A village seven leagues to the east of Anurādhapura, on the banks of the Mahāvālukanadi. When Duṭṭhagāmaṇi made plans to build the Mahā Thūpa, nuggets of gold appeared in Tambapiṭṭha.¹
