1. Assamaṇḍala.—A ford on the Mahāvāḷukagaṅgā in Ceylon.¹ Geiger refers to a legend which connects this with Kacchakatittha, in which case it should be near the Mahāgantoṭa, east of Poḷonnaruva.²
