**Ucchaṅgapupphiya Thera.**—An arahant. In the time of Vipassī Buddha he was a garland-maker of Bandhumatī. He saw the Buddha walking along the street with a large following of monks, and taking a flower from his lap he offered it to the Buddha.¹
