**Pacchimadesa, Pacchimadisā, Pacchimapassa.**—A province in Ceylon, probably in the west.¹ In the province was the **Vallipāsāṇa-vihāra**, residence of **Mahā-Nāgasena**.² ¹ Cv. xliv. 88 f.; but see Cv. *Trs.* i. 82, n. 4. ² MT. 552.
