Pottika, Pottiya.—The son of tailor and the friend of Nigrodha-kumāra and Sākha-kumāra. When Nigrodha became king, Pottika was appointed Treasurer. For their story see the Nigrodha Jātaka (No. 445). Pottika is identified with Ānanda.¹
