**Bahudhātuka Sutta.**—Preached at Jetavana. It contains a series of questions asked by **Ānanda** and the Buddha’s answers. The Buddha describes various ways in which the monk can achieve mastery of the elements (*dhātu*), the senses, the chain of causation, the rationally possible and the rationally impossible. Other names for the sutta are **Catuparivaṭṭa**, **Dhammādāsa**, **Amatadundubhi** and **Anuttara-Saṅgā-mavijaya.**¹ ¹ M. iii. 61 ff.
